Wildcat Steel & Fabricating, LLC
Jon Richards, owner of Wildcat Steel, has been in the steel fabrication industry for over 40 years. His extensive knowledge and experience in the industry has influenced the success of Wildcat Steel. In 1979 he founded a company called Salt Shaker Welding, which specialized in fabricating tuna towers for boats. After selling the company in 1982, Jon went on to start a new company, called Liberty Steel. The company focused on the fabrication of structural steel, plant and steel mill shut downs and maintenance. In addition, Jon and his company worked in the oil fields, pipelining and rig repair.
In 1996, Jon started Wildcat Steel, a company that is driven by and modeled after the values of the United States Marine Corps. As a former Marine, Jon instills Semper Fi, dependability and pride in all aspects of his job. His loyalty, integrity and dedication to Wildcat Steel, has enabled the company to thrive in the steel fabrication industry.

Kristie Cochran, Office Administrator
Kristie joined Wildcat Steel on November 10th 2014, the date is easy to remember for us here because it is the Marine Corp Birthday!
Kristie grew up in New Hampshire (and a huge Patriots fan!) but came south when she married a Marine who got stationed in Beaufort and never changed duty stations for his 21 year career. Her experience for the first several years was in Car Rental Management then Office Management for a few different companies in the construction field.
Her knowledge in the construction industry and her experience with dealing with Marines makes her a great fit here.
